today (tonight rather) Amber and I went to the UT rec center to work out with a friend of hers. I haven't been to a rec center in a while, nor have I really worked out in a while. I managed to do some running a few weeks ago, but it only lasted a week.

hopefully this will lead to a longer spell of working out and getting in shape!

yeah, i'm a nerd. I recently got a new smartphone, a motorola Q9. mostly I got it as a pocket calender thing, which it's pretty good at. also, it raises my level to Nerd Level 27.

so, I don't have many excuses anymore for not posting, unless my thumbs fall off.

went to a flea market yesterday. and yeah, i managed to find some musical equipment :D. though, i didn't buy any of it. i've got my heart fairly set on a few choice upgrades, and i don't want to waste any money on anything i won't use extensively.

Amber gave an excellent colloquim on Friday (for which i took a vacation day). she sounded like a pro up there! i was impressed :)

...just very busy! work is going well, although we're very busy here.

school isn't going as well as i'd like. it's just going slow, so i've scheduled a meeting with my professor to help get things back on track.

at some point in the near future, i'm going to get a smartphone, as i need a PDA to keep all the stuff i'm doing in order. it should be fun, since i like techy things :D

my guitar lessons are paying off! yesterday i had Chris show me how to apply some of the things he's taught me on this one particular album (Buckethead's Population Override). i tried some of them out, and found myself able to get outside of my old comfort zone, which is 100% why i started the lessons in the first place.

well, the house is about finished, and so is my degree! all we need to do to the house is some final cleaning, some curtains, some small items, and we're there.

my thesis is set, and i'm off on the research, and while it will take a lot of time and work, all the classwork is done, so it's all i have left.

woo! i gave blood! and i didn't die! LOL

i nearly fainted... several times... and discovered that, not only do i have a fear of needles, i also can't see the blood flowing.

i hope whoever gets my blood appreciates it, or i'll find'em and kick some ass.
